This is an original Flander's Field picture from WWI. Over 90 years later, the now deceased Canadian soldier who took the photograph, was deemed by the Canadian government not to have ever been Canadian. Subsequently, his Winnipeg-born grandson was told that he too was not be a Canadian citizen. Welcome to the strange, hidden world of the Lost Canadians.
