For one reason or another, individual or groups of photos end up not being used immediately. Maybe we had too many that day, or they needed retouching or straightening and we ran out of time and forgot them, or they were misfiled.
During our periodic cleanups, we find them but haven't figured out how to use them. So this is our lame attempt to make up for our earlier oversight.
