He spoke about the role this region can play in upcoming initiaitves with the Canadian Space Program...and shared some challenges of living and working in space.

In April, 2001, he became the first Canadian to walk in space. He and his crewmates aboard the space shuttle Endeavour installed the second generation Canadarm on the International Space Station (ISS).
