Over 90 years later, the now deceased Canadian soldier who took the photograph, was deemed by the Canadian government not to have ever been Canadian. Subsequently, his Winnipeg-born grandson was told that he too was not be a Canadian citizen. Welcome to the strange, hidden world of the Lost Canadians.
